LHD car from Denmark

Lost in France
Hi all, I'm a lowly MGB owner currently living in SW France. A French friend of mine is considering buying what purports to be a genuine LHD Costello which has been imported to France from Denmark. I wonder if anybody knows this car and has any information on it and it's provenance ? Asking price in France is €20k by the way and it is far from perfect apparently needing €6-7k spending on it !

It is impossible to tell from the photo you supply whether or not this is one of the Costello cars. Certainly it sports an MGC bonnet (Ken converted 2 MGCs and we know of one of them), but further than that some more investigative work needs to be done. The price does sound a little high but perhaps reflects the racing history of the car, not its Costello provenance. Let the Forum know if you have more questions. Best wishes Lawrence Wood.

I know this car as being Michel Loreille's car (Michel is the founder of french MG club). I told me his car was from 1965 or 1966. I don't think Ken Costello was performing conversions at that time, but maybe it was done during the 70's on basis of a 65/66 body.
I think only Ken Costello could say whether this car rings a bell.
I never saw the car, I only saw some pictures, this is racer, anyway far from original specs and look.
But this is the only LHD racer I know.
