MGB Costello or MGB GT Costello wanted

Jürgen Kuhnle
Dear Group of Costello Owners,

some of you might know me from several Costello gatherings as passenger of Jürgen Hauber.
Especially as I am working all day Long with MGB V8´s as my profession,  I would like to
own one of this rare cars. Especially I am looking for a car to restore it to its former glory
If somebody from the Group get any knowledge of a restaurationprojekt, I would apreciate
to get a Information.

Kind regards

Jürgen

Dear Peter,

at the Moment I would say, it is a "Seelenverkäufer" don´t know how to translate into the english language.
I prefere to collect the car on my traylor. First I have to check all the electrics. It is not better than the factory V8
in the enginebay. On the way from Birmingham via Normandy back home I have had the petrolpump stryking,
near Paris the Distributor and near Metz the alternator. From Metz back home I drove on the battery.
But we came home save.
Anyway I haven´t  had such a nice feeling, buying a car, sinice a very Long time. I look Forward to bring the Costello to former glory.
I found it very interesting, that the car have a RV8 radiator fixed at the time. Maybe Ken was involved in the Adder projekt for testing reasons?
Lawrence, is that true?

Kind regards

Jürgen

Hello Juergen,

I dont think Ken was involved in the RV8 project. But you will no doubt find some interesting things as you take your MkIII apart and rebuild it. Many stories and history were kept in Ken's head which we will never know. And since he never kept records, and was not the easiest of engineers to interview, those secrets will be kept forever!

All the best in the collection.
Lawrence.
