Happy New Year everyone!
Despite the weather not being conducive to running our classic Costellos on the roads just yet, time marches on and there are two Costello events coming up in 2012 to which we need confirmed attendance in order to establish a presence.
The first event - on 5th May - will be the Costello UK Gathering at Brands Hatch motor circuit. This is Ken’s local circuit and the scene of many a Costello triumph, including part of the final round of the 1967 British Saloon Car Championship, which Ken won. We are confident Ken himself will be able to attend this one as it is not far from his home. He might even attend in his own "Costello" GT.
The facilities they’re offering us are good, though be aware, despite the day being an MG meeting, there will be no chance for us to drive on track. The Brittens Parade area is where clubs are invited to display their cars at race meetings. As exhibitors therefore, we would receive free entry to the race meeting and vouchers towards lunch at the track restaurant.
Please get in touch immediately with me if you can confirm attendance - we need to book before end of January in order to secure a place.
